Can you get prescription swim goggles for astigmatism?
Yes — and it's our whole point. Standard swim goggles only correct spherical power, so people with astigmatism are told to convert their cylinder into sphere and live with the blur. We grind true toric lenses to your full sphere, cylinder and axis, up to −6.00 of cylinder, so astigmatism is actually corrected underwater. See how custom lenses work →
How do I know what diopter (strength) to order?
Use the diopter finder above. Enter your glasses or contacts prescription and we translate it into the correct swim lens for each eye. For simple prescriptions we recommend the nearest ready-made power; for astigmatism or strong prescriptions we build custom lenses to your exact numbers.
Can each eye have a different prescription?
Always — at no extra cost. Whether you choose Ready-Rx or Custom-Rx, the right and left lenses are set to their own powers. Most people's eyes differ, and pairing them to one number is a compromise we don't make.
What prescriptions can you make?
Sphere from −12.00 to +4.00 in 0.25 steps, cylinder to −6.00 at any axis from 1–180°. Ready-Rx covers −1.5 to −8.0 spherical in 0.5 steps for fast shipping; anything beyond that, or any astigmatism, is made as Custom-Rx.
How long does a custom order take?
Ready-Rx ships within 48 hours. Custom-Rx lenses are ground and assembled to order, so they typically take 10–15 days. Each pair is checked against your prescription before it leaves.
